Daggers at the Country Fair release day!
Today is the day Daggers at the Country Fair is released to all readers - it has spent some time on Netgalley where early reviewers have had a chance to read Martha & Luke's newest adventure. I've been completely overwhelmed with the reviews and am so pleased that Daggers at the Country Fair has been well received by reviewers.
As I write this blog post I'm sitting in a hotel in New York following the NINC writers' conference. I am wearing my Dallas Cowboys shirt while I type away on a little desk in the corner of my hotel room. How great is technology?!
Just over two years ago I released my first cozy mystery. England was in lockdown and I was home alone with my youngest two children who were both in their teens. My only goal in releasing that book was to earn enough money to make my car payments so that when we were allowed out of lockdown I still had a vehicle! Now writing not only provides me an income that allows me to travel to the USA but it is a business that sustains me and my family. If someone had told me two years ago that I'd be in a hotel room in New York on the day my 11th book released (I have 3 historical romance books too) with a ticket to watch the Dallas Cowboys at the MetLife Stadium I never would have believed that was possible for a girl like me.
So a big thank you to all of my lovely readers - you have made my dreams come true. I hope you enjoy reading Martha's newest adventure as much as I enjoyed writing it!
